Friendly Society Benefits

We can offer a tax exempt plan because we are a Friendly Society.  The whole Society belongs to our members - including you if you join through the Compass Children's Celebration Bond.  There are no outside shareholders to benefit from the Society.

Investment Flexibility

As a Friendly Society we are allowed to offer tax exempt benefits to members - but only up to a maximum of £25 per month or £270 per annum.  You can also invest more money on behalf of a child but it would not be tax exempt.  Amounts over £25 per month will receive the same competitive terms and investment management  but investments will be taxed within the fund in the usual way.  The total benefit on maturity will still be tax free in the hands of the child.

When your application is accepted you will receive full personal details of the Children's Celebration Bond together with the policy document and confirmation of your membership.  If you change your mind you will have 30 days to return everything to us and get full repayment.

How to start a Compass Children's Celebration Bond

The application is easy to complete.  Just decide how much you want to save, complete your personal details and send it to us.  We will then make you and the child members of the Society and issue full documentation.
